Import Tax and Duties

Depending on the total value of your order, it may be subject to import tax and duty. We do not collect payment for any import taxes or duties on our website, nor are they included in the product price or shipping cost. All charges associated with import tax and duties are solely the recipient’s responsibility.

 

EU & UK

Orders are subject to a 2.5% import tax and the appropriate countries' VAT rate (Value added tax).

For example, importing an order of silver jewellery into the UK is 20% VAT (Value added tax) + 2.5% Import Tax.

 

USA

If you are within the USA, the estimated duty rates for importing silver jewellery are as below.

Orders below $800 CIF Value (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) are not subject to any tax.

Orders above $800 CIF Value (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) are subject to the below tax rates.

If the product price after any discount is below $1.50 per piece, then the item is subject to 13.5% tax.

If the product price is over $1.50 per piece, then the item is subject to a 5% import tax and duty.

* Anything sold in a pair counts as two pieces.

Please make sure you or someone you know will be present at a home or work address to accept your delivery. If no one is in, we’ll make sure we leave a card so that redelivery can be arranged, or you can collect it from the depot.
For all deliveries, you will need to make sure that you cover any ongoing customs or tax costs should any be incurred when shipping to your destination. At MUSE Jewels, we do our best to deliver within the stated time; however, we cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by the destination country's customs clearance.
Please don’t refuse a delivery. Unfortunately, refused deliveries will incur the original delivery cost plus the return cost. Any refund made will be minus the total delivery and return cost in the case of refused deliveries.
We try our best to get deliveries out to you on time, but sometimes international deliveries can take longer than expected.
